Home for the next 50 years of Andover Crew

Coach Brown founded Andover Crew in an abandoned boathouse just above the weir in Lawrence. From there the team moved to a corrugated iron boathouse until vandals attacked in 1979. In the early 1980s a new concrete boathouse was built on the current site.

The current boathouse has served us for 30 years but we now need to expand the home for the team and update the facilities. We were very fortunate to find a truck dealership that wanted to move away from the river. This move gives us a better race course, a larger boathouse, a larger usable area for visiting teams, better facilities and better security.

We hope to expand the size of the team, invite more visitors to race and host rowing events from coach training to head regattas.
