This was to be a big 4 school glorious race to start the season but Mother Nature had other ideas.
We happily race in cold rain and snow. Safety requires that we leave the river for lightning and winds over 20 mph. This Saturday we had lightning The safety rule requires that we only launch onto the river 30 minutes after the last weather event. Sadly this delay bumped up against the travel time form our visiting boats. The coaches were forced to race only the first and second boat. But boy did these boats do us proud. we had some very aggressive racing. Big blue came out on top in 3 of the 4 races.
It wonderful to have a boathouse full of people again. Be safe.
