We sit in deep dark winter wishing for Crew season to start and then suddenly it is almost over. This weekend was our last regular race. It was also the last day of Crew for G4 to G6 and B4 to B7.
The photographs start with the team dinner on the Friday night when the parents and students spring a extremely pleasant surprise on Rosy and I by announcing that a new boat purchased by parents would be named for the Darbys. Our heartfelt thanks to all involved.
Our lower boats have been very successful this spring winning almost all of their races. Several of the boats are undefeated. A fantastic job by the athletes and their coaches. The explosion of exuberance can be seen the in photographs where the coxswain throwing turned into a mass swimming.
Andover won all the races today so absolutely everyone was a winner. There was also a ceremony where the team congratulated our winning seniors and presented them with a memento of Andover Crew.
